We can expect snowy conditions to persist in southwest Michigan for a couple more days. National Weather Service meteorologist Nathan Marsili tells WSJM News Berrien County, especially near the lakeshore, will see more snow.

“We’re looking for another round of lake effect on Thursday, which could be heavier Thursday afternoon into Thursday night,” Marsili said. “It looks like mainly it will be with the heaviest amounts in lower Michigan, southwest Michigan in  Berrien and Cass County.”

With wind gusts, Marsili says everyone needs to be careful.

“We are getting these snow bands developing which may not put down much in the way of accumulation, maybe just a dusting, but they can  be accompanied by rapid changes in visibility.”

Marsili expects temperatures to hover around the teens for the rest of the week. He says total snowfall may amount to six to ten inches. Meanwhile, there’s a winter storm warning in effect for Van Buren County through Friday morning.
