Troopers from the Michigan State Police post in Niles will take part in a Polar Plunge next month. The MSP says the Michigan Law Enforcement 2022 Southwest Polar Plunge will be on Saturday February 5th at the Watermark Brewing in Stevensville. Troopers are raising funds for the Special Olympics of Michigan with the plunge. Michigan State Police say brave troopers will take to the water for that cause as they do every year. All funds raised go toward year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 23,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Michigan.
