Teachers in Three Rivers Community Schools are being told by officials to take down LGBTQ pride flags until further notice due to complaints by a few parents. Russell Ball quit his job as a middle school teacher after being told to remove the flag, saying it represents love and inclusion for everyone. Ball is gay and says losing his own representation in the classroom “really hurt.” He adds he also quit because he was burned out.
