The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal shooting early on Monday. It says officers were called to the area of 626 Highland Avenue around 1:50 a.m. on a report of a shooting. They found a 33-year-old man wounded by gunfire. He was taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland where he died from his injury. Police have identified a person of interest in the shooting. They’re looking for 31-year-old Ricky Bridgeman. Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety. Police say they don’t yet know the motive for the shooting.
