A 14-year-old has been arrested in the death of a 17-year-old Benton Harbor resident. The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety says the 14-year-old male was taken into custody after it and Michigan State Police served a warrant Friday morning. Police found the body of the 17-year-old in an alley in the 100 block of Parker Street last Saturday. Police say the death was “by suspicious means,” but have not elaborated. They have not released the victim’s name following a request from the family. The name of the 14-year-old suspect has also not been released.
