Gas Prices Jump To $3.39

It’s hard to avoid rising gas prices. On average, your corner pump has jumped more than 10¢ to $3.39 per gallon. We asked GasBuddy’s Patrick DeHaan if $4 a gallon is a possibility in the near future.

“I don’t think that’s something we’ll have to contend with,” says DeHaan. “Potentially next year depending on how this energy crunch sorts itself out. But I don’t think that’s something we have to worry about in the foreseeable future.”

Triple A says the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.22 per gallon, the highest since October of 2014.
