State COVID Numbers For Saturday Through Monday

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 7,733 additional cases of COVID-19 for Saturday through Monday. It says that works out to 2,577 cases per each day. The state added 35 deaths during that period. Michigan has had a total of more than one million, fifteen thousand COVID cases since the pandemic started. The state’s had 20,898 COVID deaths. As of Monday, the state’s coronavirus dashboard shows Berrien County has had 15,923 COVID cases and 292 deaths. Cass County has had 5,654 COVID cases and 77 deaths. Van Buren County has had 7,728 cases and 134 deaths. As of Monday, Michigan’s vaccination rate was 67.4%. In Berrien County, it’s 57.9%. In Cass County, it’s 40.6%. In Van Buren County, the vaccination rate for COVID is 61.5%.
