A career fair in Southfield at the Best Western Premier Hotel this week offered on the spot hiring and even incentives, but people didn’t show up. CJ Eason, known as the “Job Doctor,” normally holds seminars on resumes at these events, but Tuesday was a little different.

“In 15 years of being a job fair giant, I have never had to stand on the side of any road with a sign and beg drivers to come in for a job fair. Never in 15 years. Never.”

Eason says there positions from entry level to management available and some even hire convicted felons. She says some companies will be cutting shifts or even closing if they can’t find people to work.
