Those storms last night caused some damage at some state parks, including Warren Dunes State Park. Michigan Department of Natural Resources parks and recreation chief Ron Olson spoke with Michigan News Network about it..

“Warren Dunes State Park had the electric go off for quite some time and it impacted campers,” Olson said. “We’re not sure when that’ll be restored. The Creek River that flows through the park overflowed its banks and on to the road. The water’s receding now.”

Olson says some canopies blew over and some trees are down at Interlochen State Park in northern Michigan. Also, there were power outages at Van Buren State Park in South Haven.
