A construction project is about to start on Portage Road in Bertrand Township. The Berrien County Road Department says Portage Road will have intermittent lane closures between US-12 and Briar Road beginning Monday. The road will be receiving a new overlay after it’s been trenched and widened. The project is expected to take about two weeks and will result in lane closures and occasional delays.
