Ronald E. Ostrowski, 86 of Coloma, formerly of Chicago and Western Springs, IL, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence.

Cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, July 16 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Burial of ashes with military honors will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet.  In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ron may be made to Holy Cross Children’s Services or the Knights of Columbus.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.

Ron was born March 2, 1935 in Chicago to Peter and Stella Ostrowski.  He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Bell Systems in 1989 after 38 years of service in management positions in Illinois, Bell Labs in New Jersey, New York, and Indiana.  Ron was very active in the Knights of Columbus and St Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  He also was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks fan and in his free time enjoyed golf, working in the yard, woodworking, and just being an all around handyman.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Beverly (Dean) whom he married March 2, 1957, six children; Cathleen (Scott) Wolf of Wheaton, IL, Maryann (Jeff) Burdick of San Antonio, TX, Ronald (Debbie) Ostrowski of Nashville, TN, Patricia (Chet) Menzione of Downers Grove, IL, Anthony Ostrowski of Manhattan, MT, and Theresa (Mark) Pazera of Watervliet.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his sister Geraldine Marotta in 1995.
