The Rotary Club of South Haven has given its 2021 Community Service Award to the Marcoux family. The South Haven Rotary says the Marcoux family — Jim and Paula, Jay and Julia, Chad, and Will — received the honor this week at the Rotary club annual induction and awards event. The award, now in its 13th year, annually recognizes residents who make a difference in the community while embodying the spirit of the Rotary slogan, “Service Above Self.” The Rotary says Jim has served as the South Haven Community Foundation’s director for a dollar a year since it was incorporated in 2005. The foundation has awarded more than $450,000 to local non-profits. Paula makes meals whenever asked to assist people in need. The Rotary says she’s also active in the Blessings in a Backpack program through the South Haven schools. South Haven Rotary President Dan Thompson says the Marcouxs are a “truly a family committed to our community and the people who live here.”
