The Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail has launched a new website along with an updated printed map thanks to a grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the FDA. The new website comes after months of planning and is intended to bring a stronger focus on wine in the region for beginners up to the experienced. The Lake Michigan Wine Trail is made up of 19 wineries and tasting rooms in southwest Michigan. It covers two Viticulture Areas, Fennville and Lake Michigan Shore. They begin at the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck angling down to Kalamazoo at the railroad tracks and west to the Michigan-Indiana border. You can see the new wine trail website at MIWineTrail.com. There, you can also see profiles of each of the wineries included in the trail.
