The St. Joseph Public Schools Board of Education has approved a contract with new superintendent Jennifer Fee. The board unanimously approved the three-year agreement during a special meeting Tuesday. It calls for a base salary of $158,000. Board President Barry Conybeare says Fee will start as superintendent on July 1, and the board is “looking forward to her leadership in ensuring high levels of learning and well-being for all at SJPS.” Fee was selected by the board from an applicant pool of nineteen. She’s currently the assistant superintendent for instruction at the East Grand Rapids Public School District. She’s also been the high school principal, the assistant principal, and a teacher.
