The Rotary Club of South Haven has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Bronson Health Foundation to help local residents with home healthcare and telemedicine needs. The Rotary says its Rotary-Bronson Telemedicine Initiative will help people in need of care at home by providing medical equipment like pulse oximeters (ox-IM-iters), diabetic supplies, scales, and thermometers. It’ll also provide residents with tablets so they can have virtual doctor visits and communicate with their health providers. The Rotary Club of South Haven’s Dr. Richard Swanson says the COVID pandemic has put a spotlight on why this type of help is important. Distribution of the resources to patients will be managed through Bronson South Haven medical practices.
