The Benton Harbor region has Michigan’s lowest gas prices to start the week. Triple-A Michigan says the average in Benton Harbor is $2.61, 10¢ less than the state average of $2.71. The statewide average is down 4¢ from last week, down 5¢ in the past month, but higher by 97¢ from last year. Marquette in the Upper Peninsula remains the most expensive area for gas at $2.85 per gallon.
