State Releases COVID Numbers For Sunday, Monday

New COVID-19 cases to be identified in Michigan for Sunday and Monday total 1,960. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says that works out to an average of 980 per each day. The state also reported four COVID deaths for Sunday and Monday combined, making for a pandemic total of 15,670. Michigan’s had a total more than 598,000 cases of the illness since last March. The state’s coronavirus website shows Berrien County with 27 more cases than on Saturday for a total of 10,839. Berrien County has had 226 deaths, the same as on Saturday. Van Buren County on Monday reported 19 new cases over Saturday for a pandemic total of 4,773. The county has had 86 deaths, the same as Saturday. The state’s vaccine dashboard shows 2.64 million million doses given out as of Sunday. Berrien County has administered 42,800 doses. Van Buren County has administered 18,400.
