State Reports Thursday COVID Numbers

Michigan is reporting 1,388 new cases of COVID-19 for Thursday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had more than 585,000 COVID cases since the pandemic started. 48 deaths were reported for Thursday, 30 of which were identified through a review of vital records. The state’s death total is now 15,453. The state’s coronavirus dashboard shows Berrien County with 12 new cases on Thursday for a total of 10,595. The county had one additional death, bringing the total to 220. Van Buren County has four new cases for a total of 4,690. Deaths in Van Buren County remain at 84. Michigan’s vaccine dashboard shows more than two million doses have been administered as of Wednesday. More than 32,200 doses have been administered in Berrien County, and 14,200 in Van Buren County.
