Here’s something to think about to get your mind off the cold and snow. The Detroit Tigers have opened Spring Training in Lakeland, Florida today. Despite the coronavirus, Tigers general manager Al Avila says some fans will be able to watch the spring training games.

“We are planning to have 2,000 fans here in Lakeland for Spring Training, which is great,” he says. “The fans will be able to enjoy it and let me just tell you, the interest to come back to the game is tremendous. We could probably sell out the stadium if we could.”

The first full-squad workout is Monday. The Tigers home opener is April 1st against Cleveland.
