New COVID-19 Cases At 939

Michigan reported 939 new cases of COVID-19 for Wednesday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services coronavirus dashboard shows Michigan has had a total of 577,203 COVID cases since the start of the pandemic and 15,188 deaths. There were 11 deaths reported for Wednesday.

“I continue to be very encouraged by the data we are seeing in the state with regard to COVID-19,” says Michigan’s chief medical officer, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun. “Case rates continue to decline are are now at 113 cases per million, down 85% from the mid-November peak.”

Berrien County’s cases are up 29 to 10,470 and 216 deaths, which was unchanged. Van Buren County on Tuesday reported just three new cases over Monday for a pandemic total of 4,636. The county has had 84 deaths, the same as Tuesday.
