Benton Harbor City Commissioners are seeking a grant to build a second pavilion at Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park. During a meeting Tuesday, the city commission approved a resolution to apply for a USDA Rural Business Development Grant of $94,900 for the second pavilion, which would be used by the Benton Harbor Farmers Market, among other programs. The local match for the grant would be $5,000. Having two pavilions at the park was part of the city’s development plan.
