Scams happen everyday, but the pandemic has brought a twist. Laura Blankenship for the Better Business Bureau in Michigan says watch out for scams involving the COVID-19 vaccine.
“There’s adverting offering early access to the vaccine upon payment,” says Blankenship. “They’re requesting you to pay money out of pocket, they’re offering for you to undergo additional medical testing or procedures when obtaining the vaccine.”
Blankenship says no payment is required for a vaccine, and no payments can move you up on the priority list of vaccine recipients.
