Celebration Cinema is pleased to be allowed to reopen. The theater chain says it’s welcoming movie fans back at most of its locations on Monday, just in time for Christmas Day movies, which this year happen to include a little picture called Wonder Woman 1984. However, the Benton Harbor location does not yet have a hard opening date. As per orders from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, food and beverages will not be available for in-theatre consumption for the time being. Physical distancing measures will be place in the theaters, staff are using PPE and sanitizing, and cash isn’t being accepted. Other movies that will be playing include Monster Hunter, News of the World, and Promising Young Woman. A Celebration Cinema spokesperson tells us as for the Benton Harbor location, it’s “looking like Benton Harbor will be able to open on the 26th, for weekend business.” We’ll let you know if that changes.
