Thursday COVID Numbers Rise From Wednesday

For the first time this week, the number of new COVID-19 cases is higher than the day before. On Thursday, 5,937 new cases were recorded to bring the total to 421,137. The Department of Health and Human Services says 182 additional deaths have been recorded, with 132 being from reviews of vital records. In all, 10,395 Michiganders have died from COVID-19.

Berrien County has 7,528 cases, up 83 from Wednesday, and the deaths from COVID are up by one to 127. Van Buren County has 3,312 cases, an increase of 56. The number of deaths from COVID-19 is up by two to 56.
