Children in Van Buren County can now get free books thanks to a program at the Van Buren District Library. It says participants in the November Read to Give Challenge logged 790 books during the month, far surpassing the original goal of 500. Once that goal was reached, the district library’s Friends groups purchased a variety of books to be distributed through United Christian Services. They’re now available at the charity’s offices, as well as the Porch and Linda’s Closet. Anyone who wants to find out more can call the Van Buren District Library.
