More Than 6,000 Additional COVID Cases In Michigan Wednesday

Michigan reported more than 6,000 additional cases of COVID-19 for Wednesday. According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services coronavirus website, the state had 6,008 new cases for the day and 42 additional deaths. In total since the pandemic started, the state has had 229,285 cases and 7,766 deaths. Locally, the Berrien County Health Department’s COVID dashboard is showing 62 new cases of the illness for Wednesday, with the county at a total of 3,641 since March. Berrien County’s deaths continue rising, now at a total of 92, three more than Tuesday. Local hospitalizations include 45 non-ICU hospitalizations and 4 patients in the ICU.
