State Senator Kim LaSata says her winter coat drive has resulted in more than 50 coats being donated to children in need. The drive wrapped up Tuesday as LaSata handed off the coats to Niles Community Schools so they can be distributed to area students. LaSata says there were new challenges with this year’s coat drive due to COVID, but she’s “heartened by the determination of our community to help make sure children who are less fortunate have a nice warm coat for winter.” She thanked everyone who contributed.
