The Berrien County Health Department continues to urge everyone to get a flu vaccine. Spokesperson Gillian Conrad tells WSJM News with COVID-19 taking up hospital resources, they want flu infections this winter to be as low as possible. Poeple seem to be listening.

“We have seen record turnout at our Flu Shot Fridays as well as our first community drive-through clinic that happened last week,” Conrad said. “We know that people are interested in protecting themselves against the flu, another respiratory virus that has symptoms similar to COVID-19 but can be prevented with a simple vaccination.”

Conrad says the Berrien County Health Department will hold one more drive-through flu shot clinic this Saturday in Niles. It will be at the South County Health Department Office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. She also notes walk-in, no appointment needed clinics are being held at the Benton Harbor and Niles offices each Friday through November 20. You don’t need to worry about paying for the shot.
