Governor Whitmer and her administration say they’re confident that Election Day will go well on Tuesday.

“Depending on how close these races are, it may take a few days to determine who the winners are,” said Whitmer. “But that’s okay. Our local election clerks across the state will be working to get the counts right.”

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said turnout is expected to break records.

“The bottom line is, we’re ready,” says Benson. “I’m confident that we’re prepared to ensure our voters are safe, secure, and they can be assured their vote will count.”

3.25 million absentee ballots have been requested, and 2.4 million people have already voted.
