It’s just one week until Election Day, even though more than two million people have already voted absentee in Michigan. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says we could break a record.
“Three-point-one million have requested to vote absentee which is 3 times as many people who voted absentee in 2016,” said Benson. “So we’re on track with record breaking turnout this year, not just in Michigan but in other states.”
Benson expects at least two million people will vote in person on Election Day. If you have an absentee ballot, she says you should deliver it in person to your clerk’s office since it might not get there in time by mailing it.
