A virtual run will be held by students at Andrews University this month to raise money for Doctors Without Borders. The Andrews Filipino International Association, of AFIA, a student club on campus, is hosting its annual Rice Run from October 4 through October 18. With COVID, the club is doing the run virtually, meaning participants will get to pick their own routes. Doctors Without Borders is an international group that provides medical care to people affected by war, disaster, or disease. The group believes everyone should have access to healthcare regardless of race, age, or gender, and it largely depends on donations. The Rice Run this year allows anyone to participate at any point between October 4 or the 18th. It’s a 5K, so runners are asked to record their time and distance with a tracking tool. Everyone who completes the Rice Run will get a medal. It’s $20 to register, and you can do so right here.
