Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson are among those reacting to the positive tests for COVID-19 for President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. Both wished them a speedy recovery, with Whitmer calling it the “most dangerous public health crisis America has faced in 100 years.” Benson called it a reminder that “this pandemic is real, ongoing and indiscriminate.” Governor Whitmer added the announcement should serve as a wakeup call to every American and said “let’s all mask up and let’s get through this together, as one nation.”
