Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is taking to YouTube to get the message out concerning needed election law updates. She has launched a “Ready for November” series featuring discussions with special guests to explore those issues.

“Democracy is a team sport as I always say, and there are many people all around the state working on your behalf to make sure that in every corner of every county, we’re ready to go to ensure that our elections in November are safe, successful, and secure,” said Benson.

In Wednesday’s first episode, she is joined by state Senator Jeremy Moss and Representatives Vanessa Guerra and Yousef Rabhi. The four discuss several bills before the House and Senate that Benson says will make the election go more smoothly. Those include paid time off work, allowing absentee votes to count if postmarked by Election Day, and being able to process absent voter ballots before the election.
