Michigan is reporting 653 additional cases of COVID-19 for Saturday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had 68,948 cases of the illness since the start of the pandemic. It reported 28 additional deaths for Saturday, bringing that total to 6,067. However, the department notes 22 of those were found through a review of vital records around the state. Berrien County had 17 new cases of COVID-19 to report for the day, making the total 834 with 60 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Cass County had four new cases for Saturday, making its total 169 with six deaths. Van Buren County had six new cases for the day, making the county’s total 242 with eight deaths.
