The number of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan went up by 353 on Thursday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had 62,306 cases of the illness since the start of the pandemic. It reported 19 additional deaths for Thursday, bringing that total to 5,887. Berrien County had four new cases of COVID-19 to report for the day, making the total 700 with 60 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Cass County had five new cases for Thursday, making its total 118 with four deaths. Van Buren County had three new cases for the day, making the county’s total 197 with six deaths.
