Michigan is just one of two states “on track to contain” the coronavirus, that’s according to the website COVID Act Now. Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, the chief medical executive for the state of Michigan, says we’re not totally out of the woods, though.

“We’re working hard to expand testing, particularly as we re-engage more sectors of the economy,” Khladun said this week. “So if you feel sick, you should get tested. If someone close to you is sick or has symptoms, you should get tested. And if you work outside of the home, you should absolutely get tested.”

This week, COVID Act Now tweeted it’s moved Michigan to its lowest risk category on a warning dashboard for states. Speaking in Lansing, Dr. Khaldun attributed the state’s success against COVID-19 to testing and people being cautious. New York is the other state which the website says is “on track to contain” COVID-19.
