Ford says it will finally unveil the new Bronco on July 9. Unfortunately, July 9 is also the 73rd birthday of OJ Simpson, who famously lead police on a chase while driving a Ford Bronco. Ford says the date choice was a coincidence, and at this point doesn’t plan to change the date. Analyst John McElroy thinks they should.
“It’s a great vehicle for Ford to be bringing back,” McElroy said. “It’s really starting to concentrate on its iconic vehicles, like the Mustang, the Raptor, now the new Bronco. And you don’t want to share the spotlight with O.J. Simpson.”
Ford was originally going to unveil the new Bronco back in March. However, it was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
