The Berrien County Health Department is changing the way it updates the public on the COVID-19 pandemic locally. Since coronavirus arrived in Berrien County, the department has been posting daily case totals, but spokesperson Gillian Conrad tells WSJM News that’s changing.
“People who are paying close attention and looking at our Facebook and Instagram pages, you can absolutely still follow us there to get some good information, but you’ll want to look on a weekly basis, rather than on a daily basis to find that trend analysis,” Conrad said.
Conrad says the Berrien County Health Department will post the latest COVID numbers on Fridays. She says a weekly look at numbers provides a better picture of what’s actually happening than focusing on each day. You can still track the daily numbers by going to Michigan.gov/Coronavirus. The Berrien County Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard will also continue to provide information on the latest counts.
