Nothing is imminent, but plans are being drafted for the eventual reopening of Four Winds casinos in Dowagiac, Hartford, New Buffalo, and South Bend. The casinos are working with the Pokagon Gaming Commission on how to reopen safely. The four casinos will be limited to 50% capacity, and all employees will wear personal protective equipment. All guests and employees will have health screenings upon entering, and there will be unspecified health precautions taken on all gaming floors. To date, only a few tribal casinos in northern Michigan have reopened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the state has not allowed Detroit’s three non-tribal casinos to reopen.
