State Releases COVID-19 Totals For Sunday

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is reporting an additional 633 cases of COVID-19 around the state for Sunday. It’s also reporting 83 additional deaths. In total, the state has recorded 31,424 coronavirus cases and 2,391 deaths. In southwest Michigan, Berrien County is reporting 158 cases of COVID-19, an increase of four from Saturday. The county has had eight deaths from the illness. The Berrien County Health Department says 83 patients have recovered. Cass County cases have remained at 22 since Friday. The county has had one COVID-19 death. Van Buren County is reporting 32 cases, an increase of one from Saturday. The county has had two deaths. The overall fatality rate for COVID-19 around Michigan is 8%.
