Congressman Fred Upton’s Problem Solvers Caucus wants action quickly on Capitol Hill on the federal government’s response to coronavirus.
“Put down your swords, let’s work together, let’s get an aid package at the right level of new funding to fight this,” says Upton. “Whether it’s new test kits, speeding up finding a cure with a vaccine, all those things need to be be part of the equation and make sure that our hospitals are adequately prepared for whatever may come.”
The St. Joseph Republican wants something done this week.
“Let’s go to work and let’s roll up our sleeves and do whatever we can to slow this thing down.”
Upton made his comments on Michigan’s Big Show on News/Talk 94.9 WSJM.
