Local clerks from around southwest Michigan were the guests of state Representative Brad Paquette in Lansing this week. He says the Berrien County Clerks’ Association went to the Capitol Wednesday to take a tour and talk with him about issues of concern.

“It’s really important for us to make sure that the link is made between our locals and what we do out here,” Paquette said. “Making sure that we’re supporting all of our clerks to the best of our ability and any issues that they might have, that is one of our main concerns.”

Paquette took the clerks on to the floor of the Michigan House of Representatives. He says keeping channels of communication with the people at the ground level back home is an important priority to him.
