New Age Laboratories in the city of South Haven tests soil, food, air, water and many other substances. The company would like to start testing medical marijuana for safety in the community. Assistant City Manager Kate Hosier told WSJM News more.
“Specifically to address medical marijuana safety compliance facilities only,” Hosier said. “There is a local business in town that is capable of doing that kind of testing, the medical marijuana testing, and the city council has asked that the planning commission look at what we would need to do for zoning and regulatory types for medical marijuana facilities.”
New Age is in the testing for safety business and would like the city to permit them to do so and the planning commission to look into it.
