St. Joseph Public Schools Tout State Ranking On Niche.com

New rankings from Niche puts St. Joseph Public Schools among the best districts in the state. The 2020 rankings have St. Joseph rated 13th best. The criteria used include achievement on the state M-STEP and SAT tests, college readiness, teacher quality, facilities, student and parent perception, student opportunities, and health and safety. In a statement, the district’s director of curriculum, instruction and assessment Kelly Gaideski calls it “rewarding” to be recognized for the ongoing efforts to improve both student achievement and their well-being.

Coming in at number-one is the Novi Community School District. There are only four west Michigan districts in the top 15. Along with St. Joseph at 13, Forest Hills Public Schools in Grand Rapids is 10th, East Grand Rapids Public Schools come in 12th, and Portage Public Schools are 15th. New Buffalo Area Schools are 29th, and Lakeshore is ranked 40th.
