All of Edwardsburg is being invited to the high school gym this week to celebrate the Eddies winning the Division 4 state championship in football on Friday. The 28-7 win over the Chelsea Bulldogs was the first state title for Edwardsburg since the school won the girls Class C volleyball title in 1977. The school district announced the rally on Monday, scheduling it for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Eddies finished the season 14-0 with Friday’s win in Detroit at Ford Field. It was their second straight trip to the championship game, having lost in 2017 to River Rouge.
