Those who have an interest in the Short Term Rental Ordinance in the city of South Haven are urged to attend the city council meeting on Monday for a public hearing. City Manager Brian Dissette spoke with WSJM News about what’s planned.

“Following the public hearing, a motion will be sought to approve an amendment to the adopted short-term rental ordinance,” Dissette said.

Disette says that could mean big news.

“Potentially, this Monday night, the work the planning commission has spent six months on this council has spent the last month discussing could be acted upon,” Dissette said.

They will also discuss the rates charged for short-term rentals, although no vote on that is likely. If you wish to be heard, you’ll have your chance Monday evening at the South Haven City Council meeting, which starts at 7 pm.
