The Al-Van Humane Society has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the South Haven Community Foundation. The grant will be used for low cost spaying and neutering of community pets, as well as pet education and training services to the public. The Al-Van shelter is at capacity, as the grant funds will be used to provide a variety of animal trainings and adopters to help ensure pets are kept in their home and their families educated on being responsible owners.
