An Allegan man is headed to federal prison for a little more than 20 years for sexually exploiting children. 27-year-old James Pyle was sentenced in federal court in Grand Rapids for the crimes. On Facebook in 2014, he posed as a 15-year-old and persuaded as many as 70 minors to send him explicit photographs while already on probation for accosting a child for immoral purposes. Pyle was sentenced in January 2015 in Allegan County to up to four years in prison, and his federal sentence will begin when he’s released from a Michigan facility in late November. The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
