The Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor may be be expanding to South Haven in the near future. At a meeting Monday, the South Haven City Council approved a resolution for the exploration of youth program funding agreements between the city and the Boys and Girls Club. That’s after they heard about the possibility of such an expansion.

Also at Monday’s meeting, the city council approved a renewal agreement with Comcast. The company is the only cable provider for South Haven, and with no other providers showing interest in coming to the area, the council approved the renewal. The renewal comes with a standard 5% franchise fee, which costs the city around $160,000 per year.
