There is now an interim superintendent in place at Benton Harbor Area Schools. During an eight minute meeting Monday, the board of education voted to appoint Patricia Robinson, the district’s assistant superintendent, to serve as head administrator indefinitely. Trustee Margaret Gast read the resolution.
“During her stint as interim superintendent, Ms. Robinson will comply with the consent agreement, the Michigan Department of Education partnership agreement, and board policies,” Gast read.
Patricia Robinson has been acting as superintendent since former Superintendent Shelly Walker was placed on leave earlier this year. Walker has since resigned, effective this Tuesday.
